Sporting KC MLS Exchange Team Soccer Clinic
Special Olympics has partnered with MLS Works and ESPN to promote an inclusive environment for those with and without disabilities by creating a MLS Exchange Special Olympics Soccer teams. Each MLS Team will have a Unified soccer team that travels to MLS markets to compete in exhibition matches scheduled in conjunction with MLS club matches. MLS clubs provide unique experiences such as signing days, jersey unveils, buddy programs with MLS first-team players, and gameday recognition. Unified teams represent their home MLS club, outfitted in authentic uniforms provided by adidas. The Unified Exchange program not only provides Special Olympic athletes with top-level training and competitive experiences, but also excellent life experiences that they might not otherwise engage in.
This year in order to select a team we will be hosting a clinic and try out. The clinic is December 7th from 9:30 am to 11 am at 68 Inside Sports Flint location. The clinic is to practice your skills and meet our coaches before the try out in late January/early February.
SIGN UP IS REQUIRED as well as a current Special Olympics Medical or Unified Partner Form!
