Liberty Parks & Rec (LPR) is powered by a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to community impact, improvement, and innovation. We believe that creating community connections by providing the highest quality parks, programs, services, and facilities is essential to a prosperous and healthy community.

Overview

LPR offers a diverse array of recreational, cultural, sporting and older adult programs and activities for the entire community.  

Parks and Trails

Explore more than 500 acres of parks, 16 miles of trails and several shelters, sports fields, the northland's first off-leash dog park, spraygrounds and more amenities throughout the City.

Programs

LPR offers everything from small group fitness classes, swim lessons, activities for older adults and sports activities for all ages and abilities.

Facilities

Visit one of Liberty's great Parks & Rec facilities. The Liberty Community Center, which offers a variety of amenities including indoor and outdoor pools, fitness equipment, a 700+ seat theater, Silver Center and more. Or, head over to Fountain Bluff Sports Complex where league and tournament champions play.

Jackson Cnty Parks + Rec Basketball/Special Populations

SPS basketball training sessions are available for all level of players. Athletes will be assigned teams by their ability. Individuals will have the great opportunity to grow athletically and socially. All practices will be held at Gregg/Klice Community Center, 1600 East 17th Terrace, Kansas City, Missouri. (Located on the corner of The Paseo and East 17th Terrace). // Each athlete is responsible for bringing to practice: black shorts, white t-shirt, a water bottle, a towel, tennis or basketball shoes and a tote bag or backpack.

Team Practices:
6:30pm: The Dreamers, Power Punch Bunch, PPB Eagles and Skills
7:15pm The Shockers, and Blue Bombers
